Our Team

Apex Education is built on a simple idea: the right mentor changes everything. We select tutors for academic strength and the ability to teach clearly, build confidence, and create momentum. Our team includes experienced educators and graduates of top colleges, and we work with families across eastern MA in-center or remotely.

We bring deep familiarity with the Massachusetts education landscape, including local curriculum, independent school admissions expectations, and the academic pace students face across public, private, and parochial settings. That context helps us tailor support that actually fits, whether a student is aiming to raise grades, build stronger study habits, be more confident, or reach a specific SAT, ACT, SSAT, or ISEE goal.

Most importantly, our team teaches with clarity and empathy.

We meet students where they are, build confidence through small wins, and hold them to high standards with steady, practical coaching.

Families can expect thoughtful instruction, consistent communication, and a plan that evolves as the student grows.

Leadership

Will Richardson is the Director of Apex Education and brings over a decade of experience teaching, leading schools, and helping students reach ambitious academic and college goals. He began his career in the classroom, where he became known for building strong relationships with students and families while driving measurable results. His math classes consistently ranked in the top 5 percent nationally for both proficiency and growth on NWEA MAP Tests. That success, and his commitment to personalized instruction, led him into school leadership roles where he coached educators, strengthened academic programs, and expanded access to high-quality learning opportunities.

Will also has deep expertise in college admissions advising. He has led advising teams that have supported hundreds of students through the full application process, from building balanced college lists and crafting standout essays to navigating financial aid. Many of those students earned admission to highly selective colleges and universities.

Born and raised in Newton, Will has a strong connection to the Massachusetts education landscape and a longstanding commitment to expanding opportunity for students in the region. In addition to his work at Apex Education, he also runs First Fellows, a scholarship program supporting first-generation college students.

Will earned his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and later completed his master’s degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
